Do you think musing.io will overtake Quora?
I want genuine answer...if it has potential then tell me how it will overtake and also compare with Quora with all facts

Musing, as it is now, has a snowball's chance in hell of overtaking Quora in spite of the massive 1 million SP delegation from Steemit Inc. Why? Because creating a Steem account is such a pain in the arse and because there is no marketing outside Steem. The number of authors might start picking up if an easy-to-use interface were created on Musing to help users create a Steem account and start posting. When it is quick and easy for anyone to create an account, the number of people using the app can and will grow, leading to a higher standard for questions and answers that get rewarded. With better content and more awareness of the platform, more traffic will be generated. That traffic can be monetized using targeted but non-intrusive ads, giving value to an SMT whose value will be boosted by increasing traffic.

Not anytime in the near future.

But, over time and with constant adjustment as well as dependent on the crypto market, I believe that musing has a very good chance of dethroning quora as the most popular q and a platform.

Currently, it's just math.

Quora has been going for over 8 years and has 100,000,000+ subscribers.

As of July, musing had slightly less than 500 active posters.

I do not think it is reasonable to even make a comparison yet in all actuality.

But, there are my current musings!

I for one, will be continuing to post on here regardless of the crypto "rewards" as I am a bit egotistical, many I want to go down with a triple crown.

Even if steemit/musing does not come out on top for some reason we can't predict, it's going down in history, and I'm going there along with it.

It's not about money for me.

How about you?

Most people don't realize their time online is valuable. The effectively donate all the value to capitalists who run the centralized sites that offer the services. I'd say most people are being taken for a ride. I think the right way to argue for people coming over to Musing from services like Quora is to say that this is like being a member of a co-operative. Be creating a Steem account and posting on Musing you become entitled to a portion of the profits according to how popular your answers or questions are among other users just like you are entited to a portion of the profits when you shop at a supermarket belonging to a co-operative. Instead of some big fat capitalist pig taking all the profits, you as the customer take profit in the form of bonus points entitling to discounts when you shop at a co-operative. The same principle of shareholder value being spread out to the users is the operative principle on Musing or other services using the Steem blockchain. Millions of people in Finland where I live (and other Nordic countries) love shopping at co-operative stores because of the discounts they get.

Some people speculate how Blockbuster could have wiped Netflix from existence while Netflix was young. Similarly, I believe right now the time window is still open for Quora to remain dominant. Because blockchain technology is almost completely open source anybody, including Quora, can adopt it. If Quora was to do something relatively soon such as create an official ERC20 token and start monetizing their questions and answers then they would maintain the dominance they already have in my opinion. Beyond a certain tipping point that may occur, much like Blockbuster, no matter what Quora would do they might not be able to hold on to their base support. It's hard to say ahead of time when this tipping point might occur if it ever does.

More than 15 million question has already been asked in quora. Fifteen million! Where musing has 5370 as of right now. To surpass quora musing would need a continues flood of active users for a long time. With the new delegation musings usebase can and may hit a couple of thousand in the next few months but it will take more than that.

Now im not saying that its impossible. It is possible but not right now. Musing can become a true competition to quora in the next 5 years. As crypto will keep shaping the new world with the new icos musing can overtake quora. But it would take our help too. Become an evangelist for musing on your own. Spread the words about what musing is and what it is doing. And the rest will be a matter of time.

Hmm this is a good question. Most people would say “for sure because musing makes you money”. I definitely see that side of the argument myself and that would be my gut reaction. But we need to take a step back first, and realize people used Quora knowing they don’t get paid; in essence didn’t care about the profits. Now of course many could potentially join, but you need to realize musing doesn’t pay like a traditional service. They pay in upvotes which become steem/sbd/sp and that goes into a steem wallet. This means that they need to get a steemit account in order to access musing. The entry price for an account is rather expensive as well, and if you go for free you have to pay with time. This all just further reduces the amount of people that join steemit. So I do think over a long period of time there will be a lot more members, however this will take a ton of time and with the complexions it’s very difficult to predict.

In the future, possibly. Probably. Musing offers rewards for answering questions, and will definitely retain a lot more people then Quora would. Only problem is the popularity of Steemit. As Steem grows, so will Musing, and with all the drops in Steem prices recently, less people will want to stay.

I would like for that to happen.

There is no reward system in Quora and just based on that I can see a migration of experts from Quora to Musing.io

However, it will take time and continuous improvements on the part of Musing.io; unless Quora changes its operations, Musing.io has the "potential" of overtaking Quora.

Quora is well-established and many internet users still don't know anything decentralization and cryptocurrencies. Once it becomes the norm, sites like Quora won't stand a chance of surviving.

Musing is growing faster. I think that cryptocurrency and blockchain will come to the mainstream sooner or later and it will change the whole game.

The way musing.io is moving forward, it could overtake Quora, but the thing is, Quora will not just sit there. They will observe it and set strategy to face any challenge. If Quora adapts cryptos and starts rewarding its users, then things will change. It is hard to say it right now.

Musing is so much better than Quora because you can earn cryptocurrency for your hard work and time commitments to answering questions. On Quora you don't earn anything. Why are people still even using that service and not coming over here? I don't get it but anyway it gives me a chance to answer more questions while those people are stuck over on Quora wasting their time.

well quora used to be more popular some years ago but right now i see musing overtaking it in the future because on musing.io you can earn money by sharing your knowledge and also gaining knowledge which is something that makes it more interesting than quora, and the fact that musing.io is also built on steem blockchain makes it more interesting and lovely

I believe that musing.io will overtake quora in next few years for that musing.io needs our help to make a big platform.

Musing offers rewards for answering questions, and will definitely retain a lot more people then Quora would. Only problem is the popularity of Steemit. As Steem grows, so will Musing, and with all the drops in Steem prices recently, less people will want to stay.

It is impossible if we don't help it to grow the community and platform. Now i am not saying that its impossible. It is possible but not right now. Musing can become a true competition to Quora in the next 5 years. As crypto will keep shaping the new world with the new icos musing can overtake quora. But it would take our help too. Become an evangelist for musing on your own.

Quora has lot of questions around 15 millions and musing has just 6000 question so to overtake musing should have a time to overtake and for that we should fully concentrate on joining new user so people can ask question and also able to write answer.

Musing.io has the great potentials to overtake quora but that is also if the users on this platform cooperate with

the musing.io team and make this platform a place

where people are willing to genuinely help people by giving them quality questions to answers, quora is also a

good platform too but as for me musing.io is better because musing.io gives users an additional benefits

which is that a user can earn rewards for answering questions or even asking questions too...

Yes. Why? I have no clue. All I know is Quora ain't on a blockchain and that makes musing the winner for me. I just discovered it today and I'm loving it so far.

I think in the long run, decentralized apps will overtake all other apps. People will want to contribute valuable content and get compensated for their online time.
