Yes I would describe Catholic as Christiains irrespective of their worship of image of Mary even though I don't agree to that..

Because what makes someone a Christian in the first place is that they believe in Jesus Christ and have received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior over their life and Catholic believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior over their life.

Nothing could be further from the truth which is in the Bible;

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Their worship of the image of Mary cannot nullify the fact that they believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior over their life which is the qualification to becoming a Christian.

I myself don't agree to their worship of image but there are also practices we do that they too don't agree to, and mind you even among christain denominations there are many different doctrines among themselves and also different practices, but one common thing which is the key is that they all believe in Jesus Christ and his finished works.

Yes , Catholic are very much Christiains despite their worship of images.

Firstly, who is a Christian?

A Christian is anyone who have received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior over their life. They believe in Jesus Christ and his finished works.

Catholic are no different, They believe in Jesus Christ and his finished works and that's the qualification to become a christain.

Nothing could be further from the truth, let's see some scriptures in the Bible.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

So from the scriptures above we see that both Catholic and christain believe in Jesus Christ.

Although there are certain doctrines they practice that is quite different from other denominations.

The truth is that there are many Christiain denominations but one common thing is that they all believe in Jesus Christ which is the most important thing.

So my conclusion is that Catholic are Christiains.
