I've been jinxed by J. K Rowlings. She's probably done the *confundo* charm on me. I just can't get enough of the Harry Potter series. I've read the seven books at least three times. I just re-downloaded them again for another reading.
I've also watched the movies twice. I can't exactly pinpoint why I love the book so much. Maybe it was my obsession with magic while I was younger.
It was even the book series that nurtured the desire to be a writer in my heart. I remember writing a book, 'the magic school' when I was twelve. The sole motivation was Harry Potter series. My mates liked the book so much and would have me read it aloud to them.
I'm currently reading the Shadow hunters series. It's a pretty good one but not as addictive as the HP series.
Neuromancer by William Gibson. Did you like Ghost in the Shell or The Matrix? What if I told you that the subgenre from which they drink was defined almost 30 years before and reached its climax in the 270 page story of a past-his-prime hacker who has to get back in the game? Neuromancer is a compelling story that has everything you would expect in a cyberpunk novel.
I like mostly philosophy and spiritual books and my favorite one is "I am that" by Nisargadatta Maharaj.
I highly recommend this book as often as I can. It's a life changing book.
I like books that often tell about love, because for me you have read the book feels always in love and one of the books I like is the verse verse of love by Sulaiman
Selfish Gene (by Richard Dawkins 1976)
In 2009 when the genius again wanted to recruit Biology tutors. We certainly want to get biology teachers who are not teachers carelessly. Finally, the Word made 5 essay questions which (according to him) only Biology teachers could not answer. But if someone can answer the 5 questions, it's almost certain that people really understand the true essence of Biology. From some tens of people who are Biology teachers who have tried to become Biology tutors, it turns out that only the Pras can answer these 5 questions. We (Zenius) managed to recruit Biology tutors who are really cool like Pras.
Well, one of the 5 legendary questions is "What do you know about Selfish Gene?" Hey, how come it's a selfish gene? Why do books become indicators for the word to recruit biology genius tutors? Curious about it or not, what is destined for Pras to become your Biology study friend every time? One of the answers is because Pras is well aware of the concepts in this book.
This book is a revolutionary breakthrough in the world of Biology written by Richard Dawkins in 1976, which unfortunately for some reason this book has never been mentioned in school textbooks or textbooks studying Biology in Indonesia. This book explains very many social phenomena as ecosystems and ourselves as individuals & organisms from the point of view of genes in our body.
Starting from why humans tend to choose to have a family, why do we tend to care more about someone (or another organism) who has similar genes? Until why this interaction between humans can be as dynamic as other animals. The point is this book explains why and how human species can survive in the last 200 thousand years, successfully passed all challenges and natural selection, and succeeded in forming civilizations to the most complex and advanced level as it is today.
Frankly, this book is a bit difficult for you to read if you haven't really understood the concept of evolution and genetics. But once you succeed in tracing this book and understand exactly what it means, you will look at this world with a new paradigm that is really different than before.
I love bestsellers with horror as a theme and I have read quite a lot of these. I do so to while away time or to improve my English.
Sadly, I can't remember the title of any right now.
I'm not into books, but I have this particular author that I like so much, Perry Stone. I have read like 5 of his books. He is a Christian author....Here are some of them;
"Breaking the Jewish Code"
"Secrets beyond the grave"
"The code of the Holy Spirit"
Novel is a written and narrative work of prose fiction; usually in the form of stories. The novel writer is called a novelist. The word novel comes from Italian novella which means "a story, a piece of news".
Novels are longer (at least 40,000 words) and more complex than short stories, and are not limited to structural and metric limitations of plays or poetry. Generally a novel tells about characters and their behavior in everyday life, focusing on the strange sides of the narrative.
Novel in Indonesian is distinguished from romance. A romance storyline is more complex and the number of characters or story characters is also more numerous. The magazine is a periodic publication containing various articles on various subjects.
