Was Steemit the first Steem app you were introduced to?

Yes. Last year when I joined, not many Steem DApps  were famous. I got to know about Steepshot and Utopian next. I saw a few videos of Jerry Banfield on YouTube when I got introduced to this amazing Blockchain. I think most of the people were introduced to  "Steemit" before any other app because you could create free accounts through the same website i.e. the sign up process. Not many people knew about anon steem and other paid services to create Steem Accounts. And why would anyone pay for such a service which is quite new in the market even though it was 1.5 years old. :)

Yes Steemit was the first Steem app that I got introduced to. It was exactly 1 year back when this happened. When I was looking for options to earn cryptocurrencies, mining cryptocurrencies was very popular. I was reading a lot about blockchain and crypto mining. Lots of people suggested about investing in Cryptocurrencies. Though I did make a huge investment on cryptocurrencies, I was also curious to know if there are other methods apart from mining to generate cryptocurrencies or earn cryptocurrencies. While looking for that option, I ended up in steemit website.

As soon as I landed here, everything was greek and latin for me and it was quite challenging to understand what this website was all about. I had very little knowledge on blockchain itself. Like all the other people I was also carried away by the trending page. Initially I thought it was easy money but after writing few articles I realized that I have to learn a lot first before I can start posting here.

So to answer your question, yes Steemit was the first steem app that I got introduced to. Later when I heard from people that there is also another app where we can share and post images, I came to know about steepshot. Later after few months I gradually got to know about busy and other interfaces for steem blockchain. Today we have so many dapps and interfaces available for steem blockchain. Recently @therealwolf has designed a website that will list out all the interfaces, apps and dapps that are available for steem blockchain. You can check that out from the below link. The website is still in Alpha phase.

My Experience with Steem DApps

Yeah, Steemit.com was the first Steem app I was introduced to. It remains a mother app for Steeming. However, my first and initial experience was horrible since I was a novice to mark-up language. It took days of dedicated research to learn and the time invested paid off. After a few days, I got to know about @busy.org which became a darling App for Steeming.  I preferred @busy.org interface which to me (then) was "newb friendly" with the ease of marking-up posts  with a click.

After  spending a few months on the Steem blockchain, I got introduced, used and still enjoy using the following:

All the above Above apps have their uniqueness which gives a fun-filled and awesome steeming experience. To me, they are purpose-driven and I respect the creators for that.

When I first joined this platform, we only have Steemit.com, Busy.org (initial stage of development) and Utopian.io (initial stage as well). These are the three major apps that in used before the rise of the many DApps of today.

It wasn't very easy back then but since there is a huge price hike, I didn't even pay attention to the lack of functionality of these apps. Until people start complaining about it and amazing DApps started to emerge and rescue some of the users who are getting bored of the original apps and the slowly declining Steem price.

Now, I'm glad to see more and more DApps are being developed. And even though they are currently under development, I see some promising apps that I would definitely use by the time it is released.

Yes, steemit was the first app. I was first introduced to bitcoin (no surprises there, as i am sure 2017 bull would have made btc a household name), then ethereum and then during that time to a whole plethora of sites, including steemit, and steem blockchain. And I think the first step for anyone would have been to be introduced to steemit. The site is probably the most used dapp on steem blockchain.

I joined in Apr 2017, with the goal of acquiring steem, as much as i can, and have stayed ever since getting to know more cool dapps - actifit, steemhunt, musing.io. i don't get steemmonsters but i have tried that too.
