How can we become more generous?
6 ANSWERS

There are lots of ways a person could become more generous, but it will involve giving out more than you usually do. Here's a list of things you can do to help boost your generosity

1. Start small by giving out things that you know you don't need or won't miss. How bout you make it a goal to give out 100 naira or maybe 1 dollar every day to a different person, be it friend or stranger.

2. Split your salary: Cut out a portion of your salary which you will give out, it doesn't have to be raw cash, but you could just use your money and buy things for people or maybe host a family dinner and give everybody a full stomach. It's a good way to start your journey down the path of generosity.

3. Give to charity: There are people out there who don't have any food whatsoever and one of the best ways to help them is to reach out to charities and give as much as you can to them. In doing so, you start to build up the spirit of generosity in you.

4. Find a role model: Find someone you know who is actually quite generous and then try to model your generosity after them. That way you'll always have someone to look up to when you're getting tired of being generous. It helps if the person is a close family member or a close friend.

5. Volunteer yourself: You could volunteer your services at a homeless shelter or an orphanage and just help them through their day to day activities. You could even offer to teach them in the case of the orphans.

6. Spend time with generous people: They say birds of the same feathers flock together and the more you spend time with generous people, the likelihood of some of their behaviours rubbing off on you will increase. Generosity is something that we have to learn and what better way to learn it than from people who are actually very generous.

I hope this helps.

To be come more generous it starts from yourself: "voluntarily" . Being generous comes from the heart, your own will.

You don't have to be rich by being generous. You can be generous by showing and making effort to others whether thru actions or material things.

Being generous begins by treating everyone as if they have achieved the potential greatness that is in all of us. Giving something willingly and happily without expecting reward is generosity, whether it's donating money to an organization that you trust or giving time to friends in need. In essence, generosity is a sincere desire to make other people's lives easier and more enjoyable. So how do you develop generosity?

1. Give from the heart. If you really want to be generous, then you have to give just because you want to give, not because there are ulterior motives or want a reply. You must give just because you want to give, because you find something you believe in, and because you want to do good in the world. If you give to impress others or to take the hearts of others, you are not truly generous.

2. Know that being generous will make you happier. Even though you should not be generous for your own needs, you should know that generous people are known to be happier than those who do not: Being generous makes people feel more loving others, give a stronger sense of community, and build a higher self-image. When you are generous to others, you can also be generous to yourself

Truly tune in. It is anything but difficult to simply stay there and make faces and clamors when somebody's talking. It enables you to remain irately distracted with your most loved subject - yourself. Rather, tune in.

Presently some may propose you consider whether you're appearing to be warm and sympathetic, others may suggest grinning progressively and looking. That is all horse crap. You would prefer not to resemble a decent audience. You need to truly tune in.

We as society haven't possessed the capacity to put a sufficient premium on listening admirably, or, in other words escape with being so awful at it. What's more, it is perhaps the hardest activity. Be that as it may, when you begin doing it (in whatever measure) you don't need to stress over anything truly. Since it is in reality a reality that you matter no pretty much than any other individual in the excellent plan of things. You simply need to tune in to life to acknowledge it.

n. the acknowledgment that every irregular bystander is carrying on with an existence as clear and mind boggling as your own—populated with their very own desire, companions, schedules, stresses and acquired wildness—an epic story that proceeds undetectably around you like an ant colony dwelling place sprawling profound underground, with expound paths to a great many different lives that you'll never know existed, in which you may seem just once, as an additional tasting espresso out of sight, as a haze of movement passing on the roadway, as a lit window at sunset.

thanks. a very useful question for all of us,eing generous begins by treating everyone as if they have achieved the potential greatness that is in all of us. Giving something willingly and happily without expecting reward is generosity, whether it's donating money to an organization that you trust or giving time to friends in need. In essence, generosity is a sincere desire to make other people's lives easier and more enjoyable. So how do you develop generosity? See Step 1 to get started.

1.Give from the heart. If you really want to be generous, then you have to give just because you want to give, not because there are ulterior motives or want a reply. You must give just because you want to give, because you find something you believe in, and because you want to do good in the world. If you give to impress others or to take the hearts of others, you are not truly generous.

2.Know that being generous will make you happier. Even though you should not be generous for your own needs, you should know that generous people are known to be happier than those who do not: Being generous makes people feel more loving others, give a stronger sense of community, and build a higher self-image. When you are generous to others, you can also be generous to yourself.

If you are happier, then you will have a more positive outlook and more energy to do good in the world. This positive cycle will continue

3.Pay attention to what will make someone's life easier. When you interact well with neighbors or friends, pay attention and see if you can help them. Maybe your coworkers are very stressed and need someone to take care of their pet dog as long as he visits his sick mother in another city. Maybe your best friend's car is broken and he needs a ride to school. Maybe your mother is working too hard and doesn't realize how much she needs help until you give it. When you talk to someone, start asking yourself how to help them instead of always thinking about how they can help you.

4.Be grateful for what you have. Being grateful can inspire generosity because it will make you aware of all the great things you have in life. Every Sunday, sit down and make a list of at least five things that you are grateful for, and take the time to appreciate them. Think of all the good things that other people do for you and never forget to thank you, even if the goodness had been done a few months before. Being more grateful will put you in the right mindset to be generous.

If you can appreciate everything you have, you will be better able to share extraordinary things with others, to help them appreciate life like you.

5.Don't forget to be generous to yourself. Even though volunteering, taking care of and giving time to others is a great way to be generous, you must not forget yourself in the process. Don't forget to listen to yourself and know what you want and need, whether it's good food or a comfortable bubble bath. If you ignore yourself completely for the sake of others, you may be exhausted and not have much to give.

Paying attention to one's own needs and making yourself happy is not a selfish act. The selfish thing is to just pay attention to yourself and others not at all, there is a difference between the two.
