There are lots of ways a person could become more generous, but it will involve giving out more than you usually do. Here's a list of things you can do to help boost your generosity
1. Start small by giving out things that you know you don't need or won't miss. How bout you make it a goal to give out 100 naira or maybe 1 dollar every day to a different person, be it friend or stranger.
2. Split your salary: Cut out a portion of your salary which you will give out, it doesn't have to be raw cash, but you could just use your money and buy things for people or maybe host a family dinner and give everybody a full stomach. It's a good way to start your journey down the path of generosity.
3. Give to charity: There are people out there who don't have any food whatsoever and one of the best ways to help them is to reach out to charities and give as much as you can to them. In doing so, you start to build up the spirit of generosity in you.
4. Find a role model: Find someone you know who is actually quite generous and then try to model your generosity after them. That way you'll always have someone to look up to when you're getting tired of being generous. It helps if the person is a close family member or a close friend.
5. Volunteer yourself: You could volunteer your services at a homeless shelter or an orphanage and just help them through their day to day activities. You could even offer to teach them in the case of the orphans.
6. Spend time with generous people: They say birds of the same feathers flock together and the more you spend time with generous people, the likelihood of some of their behaviours rubbing off on you will increase. 3.Pay attention to what will make someone's life easier. When you interact well with neighbors or friends, pay attention and see if you can help them.
