I think I had instant noodles once or twice in my life. They might be a fast solution but they contain monosodium glutamate and I don't like that.
The first thing I look for on the label is monosodium glutamate and other additives that are not healthy. I prefer to look for more natural products. Meat products contain monosodium glutamate, so if I spot it out on the label, the product goes back to the shelf immediately.
Too much monosodium glutamate can cause headache, flushing, sweating, numbness, neck and other areas, rapid, fluttering heartbeats (heart palpitations), tingling or burning in the face, chest pain, nausea and weakness. How much is too much? I don't know and I don't want to know, I'd rather not consume products that contain monosodium glutamate.
I prefer grano duro noodles, which means durum wheat, that's the only noodle I buy because durum wheat noodle has a glycemic index of 44, which is low.
That is purely unhealthy and never take that and make your kids refrain from taking noodles. That contains sodium glutamate which is extremely unhealthy especially for children. There is a craze of noodles especially among young kids now a days and everyone of them are taking noodles as trend, not as their requirement of taste.
Many health blog I have come across and almost everyone say that it is harmful for health. Sadly the advertisers and the government are not taking adequate step to check the consumption of it. Synthetic food is always bad for health and there is need of awareness among parents and kids to stop this unhealthy practice.
In my country it was temporarily banned for some time but the noddle makers bribed the policy maker and once again brought it to the market. Sadly our system is not so serious about unhealthy and synthetic food. I am not worried about adults, because at least they know the things but kids are really innocent and they are just getting carried with the advertisement and trend of synthetic food.
I have never tried them and I have a sneaky feeling I am not missing out on much either. They have never been something I have said "I would like to try that". I am a fussy eater and like good quality food. I see this as junk, but worse than the normal junk available.
I know students consume them as they are cheap and quick. I know they have no nutritional value whatsoever and are full of MSG. I dodge anything with artificial flavors and chemicals.
After reading all the facts on the instant noodles I am glad I have never tried them and never will.
