1-2 full meals and 1-2 snacks. I work in a hospital and we may never get anything to eat on time. It's the surge of patients and the work they can bring on the table. Even without patients, there are paper works that go unfinished. I'm an intern and we go on duty for a minimum of 24 hours + 8 hours after. Then go on duty 8 hours the next day. Then another 24 hours again. There's no break unless sick or applied for leave. Same truths go for residents physicians.
The point is, we eat less to do more but only ending up doing less because we don't have the energy for it. It's an unhealthy lifestyle but it's a lifestyle we dedicated to during medical training. The Physicians you see doing clinics are those that have finished training and can control their time because they deserved it after years doing hard work like where I am now.
I normally eat once a day purely out of habit. i know it is a bad habit but have been doing this for over 20 years now.
When I wake up in the morning I shower and rush off to work. If I am lucky I grab a coffee on the way. I am normally lucky as I would rather be 10 minutes late than have no coffee.
I get caught up in work and don't take a lunch break. I never have as I think I can achieve loads more than taking a break. I will knock off sometimes a little earlier and decide what i am going to eat hen for my one and only meal of the day. I try and make it healthy ,so something grilled and home cooked.
I know everyone tells me what I am doing is unhealthy but I find habits hard to break. I need to at least have something for breakfast to give me energy for the day time.
Usually three times. Breakfast (morning), lunch (midday), and dinner (evening).
Sometimes I eat more times, like eating fruits, vegetables, chocolate, desserts and other things. Usually during the day, but sometimes in the morning/evening or during the night or at dawn.
In the previous years I often missed the breakfast, because I slept until afternoon, but nowadays I always wake up in the morning. Sometimes at dawn.
Why? Because I like to browse the internet even in the evening and during the night, but nowadays I have a part-time job, and I work before noon (from 08:30 to 12:30).
Why I eat like this? This is simple. Because this is the normal every day thing. At least where I live.
Usually I prefer four or max five meals a day, which are breakfast, a snack, then lunch, a snack in the afternoon and dinner.
I prefer lighter meals and that's why I am choosing to eat less and more times, it's easier to my stomach and it's recommended by nutritionists as well. I used to have three meals a day but it's not working any more for me, five is better.
I mostly eat four to five times a day. Three times a little bit heavy intake and remaining two times light intake. I start my day with breakfast. After three hours I take tea with some snacks, After 3 hours I take lunch. In evening I take tea with some snacks or dry fruit and in night I eat dinner.
It is good if you divide your food intake in to small portions. Taking food six to seven time is not a bad option but intake should be equal to 2,000 calories or according to your BASAL Metabolic Rate and your intake demand.
A healthy diet is must be needed for everyone. I eat healthy food 3 times on a regular basis and I think it's much good to eat 3 times per day for making good healthy forever. I prefer to eat more veggies and salad, both are super good for fulfilling the main nutrition of the body.
So at least 3 times eat is much better for every person. How about you?
I pretty much eat three times per day; breakfast, lunch and dinner. That's all I need, and I feel like it's spaced out and keeps me full for the entire day.
I eat 3 times a day because I am busy working in the office so I am always busy and I don't have enough time to eat for many times.
3 Times - yes i just need that.
