We continually divide time into smaller and smaller units so we can feel we have greater control over it. It rules our lives, tells us when to eat, when to sleep, when to work, when to play.
It has been this way through out history but the further we progress the more we seem to be a slave a to it and we must worship it and continue to divide into even smaller, more accurate units.
We are obsessed with something we cannot control in even the smallest manner. We cannot pause it, speed it up, rewind it or affect it in any manner, yet it is the number 1 driving force behind everything we do.
You live for X amount of time, you work for Y amount. You are paid on this schedule, you shop on that schedule. Routines are tied to time. How often do you look at the clock and go well time for dinner, are you hungry? And yet it's dinner time so we make and eat dinner. How many times do you look at the clock and say darn its too early for dinner I need to wait another 30 or 60 minutes.
Man time controls us all one way or another
Something we created now controls us and we have no way of interacting with it other than simply existing
Yep, that strikes me as weird the more I think about it
