i don't like that idea. We have seen in the past when safety features have failed and have had runaway trains.
Computers are fine but they cannot replace a human totally. I would be happier knowing someone was on board knowing that if anything goes wrong they can step in and take over manually.
I have no problems with a computer running the train but think for safety measures having an engineer/driver on board to oversee what is going on. I know trains are changing and they are using magnetic brakes etc. The only way I would be happy is if there was such a system that had no loopholes in a fail safe system.
