How do you usually curate? Manually or use autovoter and why?

I prefer curating manually. Using autovoter is the second version of a bot. If you use autovoter means you are curating it without reading the content, that means it is more to do with curation reward and nothing to do with what content is written in the article. The primary purpose of this platform is content creation, proof of brain, productive engagement and making sure that people keep the highest spirit of a social blogging community with a blockchain backed platform like steemit.

Manually curating an article means, the curator is reading the article and after being convinced by the quality of the content, the curator is deciding to vote with a certain percentage of vote weight with highest percentage for good quality content and lowest percentage for low quality content. That makes a sense to curation also. Sadly in this platform very few curate manually and Ned should focus on this area to how to improve and encourage more manual curation, otherwise I do not see a point of any kind of productive engagement.

If people stop reading, stop making a comment or replying then what is the use of this platform? If everything operates through autovoter, then it is just like setting a machine to print reward only and no sense of value based social media. With that being said, manual curation should be given top priority.

I think it is important to read the articles before voting for them, sometimes I save them for analysis afterwards. If an article hooks me in the first lines I read it completely and vote for it, I do resteem and almost always I follow the author.

I also read the comments and vote, I like to support the community by voting for their comments. (I do not speak English, use a translator)

I do it both ways. I have some of my favourite authors whom I have added to my steemauto list. I know for the fact that their articles are really good read. So I have added them to my fanbase in steemauto. When they make any post my account will automatically upvote their post and I will get a notification from Gina bot. That is when I go and read their post. I don't prefer curating people who are not adding any valuable content to the community. I also manually read contents from the authors whom I follow and curate them if the content is really good.

Commenting on some posts is the only thing that is challenging for me. Sometimes I will have enough things to share with them but sometimes I will not be having anything valuable to share with the author as comments. I prefer commenting on people's post only if I have anything valuable to say. If not I will just vote their posts. Sometimes if my voting mana is really low I just read the contents of some interesting articles but don't upvote them.

I like better curating manually especially I have only a small amount of Steem Power, so basically my voting power is very limited.

I used Steemvoter once but I am not fond of it because it exhausted my Voting power. Also, by using an autovoter, it means you are curating a post without first reading its content. This further means that you are only into curating rewards, not the knowledge you will be getting from reading it.

Manually curating a post means you have read the entirety of it and you found something interesting in it that you consider it giving a tip. Now, I believe the upvotes we are giving to a certain post is like a tip we are giving at restaurants, or hotels because we like their service. In this platform, we give upvotes because they've made a good content.

If people will just use an autovoter to curate on posts, then this platform's purpose of spreading knowledge will be forfeited. What would this platform become if it is not used for its purpose? If that is the case, then we can publish anything we want to earn rewards, be it a non-sense post or what.

With this, manual curation should be given first priority to make this platform a healthy one.

My current vote value is at $.004 dollars at 100%. Because of this, I need to curate manually so I can give upvotes to random people everyday.
