Yes, it is important to forgive those who have hurt you. This is because forgiving others will not only benefit your well-being in the long run, it can also improve the quality of your relationships with the people around you.

When you forgive someone, it is not the person you are forgiving who benefits the most from your act, it is actually you.

This is because they allow their anger, hurt, and other negative feelings to linger in the background and reach the point where it becomes part of everyday life. In addition, researchers have found that people who exhibit low levels of forgiveness are more likely to suffer the negative impact of  stress than those who exhibit high levels of forgiveness. 

Finally, forgiveness also allows you to enjoy life more. One of the negative impacts of holding a grudge is that it brings anger and bitterness into your life. Yes,it is very important to learn how to forgive people no matter how badly you have been hurt by them.

Alot of people find it difficult to forgive someone and they say things like I can never forgive him or her for what he did to me.

The truth is we have been forgiven by God and he instruct us to forgive one another.

And when you harbor bitterness in your heart,it can even affect your health and well-being,and also if you refuse to forgive someone it is you that will remain in pain and anger because the person might have even forget what happened and move on happily.

It's good to forgive and let peace and love reign, because where there is anger and hatred people don't make progress.

Forgiveness of a wrong done may seem like you are doing the other person a favor. However, if you look critically, you'll see you are doing yourself a greater favor.

It hurts deeply when someone, especially one we hold in high esteem, does something wrong to us. But, what hurts even more is having to carry the weight of unforgiveness in our hearts. It's counter-productive. It's the cancer for moving forward. It will always plague like an aching tooth.

I prefer to forgive so I can move ahead with my life than remain in one place because I can't get to that point where I've forgiven the person.

Let me share with you a secret of mine. It's how I avoid getting into situations where I'm hurt.

I don't get offended often because I don't encourage situations that promotes strive. The tagline is that I DON'T EXPECT TOO MUCH FROM PEOPLE.

Human, at best, is fallible. You can't expect perfection on earth, from people. It simply doesn't exist. I have this always at the hand back of my mind. It helps me to understand always see from the right angle. It allows me to easily brush aside offenses.

I won't have to forgive if I don't get hurt in the first place. Right? That's the technique. I don't place the bar very high where almost no one can reach. I set it pretty low so you can't surprise me with a failed promise or broken trust. It just doesn't happen.
