What are eclipse attacks?
Crypto hacking

Eclipse attacks are a form of cyberattack in which an attacker constructs a false environment around a single node or user in order to persuade the afflicted node into doing a malicious action. Eclipse attacks, by isolating a target node from its legitimate nearby nodes, might result in illegitimate transaction confirmations, among other network impacts. While these types of assaults isolate specific nodes, the success of eclipse attacks in interrupting network nodes and traffic is mainly dependent on the underlying network topology. Because of how complex it is to pull off, eclipse attacks are extremely unusual.
