I do check my payouts. The rewards may not be huge, but they are still there. Quite honestly, even if the price were much higher, my rewards still wouldn't be that much. I get lucky here and there with some big upvotes, but for the most part, I just don't make a ton of money on Steemit. Not like some people out there.
The cool thing about Steem though is even though the price is so low and looking to go even lower, there are still a lot of people putting out new content and new projects on the blockchain.
I am somewhat baffled by the dedication and commitment some of these groups have towards new interfaces and projects even though there isn't a ton of reward in it for them right now.
Many people will tell you that Steemit has a large and dedicated community that are very invested in the system. We all just by holding SP have a vested interest in the success of the platform.
How can we simply give up on that just because the prices are low. I have to admit, I might not be posting with the same gusto that I once did, but I will keep posting none the less because I believe in STEEM and I believe that one day the altcoins will be able to break away from the chains that are tying them to the price of Bitcoin and rise independently of what the other cryptos on the market are doing.
Right now that seems like a long way off, but who knows how things will change in the future. We just need to keep pressing on and encouraging those that are putting out new material.
Whatever you continue to make now will only serve to benefit you more when the price does recover.
Good question and yes I keep track of payouts for sure. I see this as the time to grow so i am not looking at the monetary sense but at the SP growth.
The cheaper Steem is the better for my account. Whilst it is low I am making over double what I was making a month or so ago. I have a goal which I have set myself and that is to get to 5000 SP by March which will be one year for me on Steemit. This goal is more achievable the lower Steem gets.
I am not optimistic but positive and know that Steem will be back stronger than ever. It is just too good to be values at 40 or 50 c. I saw what happened to the platform when it was at $4 and $5 and it was during my struggling growth period but this time I plan to enjoy it.
I think that for anybody HODL and increasing the amount of steem owned right now is a good idea and even if somebody wanted to convert their payouts into another currently undervalued cryptocurrency that would also most likely be a good idea in the long run.
Yes I do bother to check my payout unless it's lower than .50 SBD or Steem with it's appropriate SP associated to it.
What keeps me optimistic about the dip is that Steem is sort of my main source of income right now. Living in Venezuela is not easy at the moment, but from the little "crumbs" I get here and there, I can probably make more money than a minimum wage local job could offer me in terms of working 5-6 days every week.
But the thing here is that everything which comes through my payout, helps me in a significant way. Even if it's not much, even if it's not more than 2 digit number, it's meaningful for me.
For me I think i'll be here even if the Steem Token keeps going down because I have adapted to living with Steemit. Man, just thinking about living without blogging anymore and without talking on the discord servers is a little chilling.
Earning a little bit here and there and getting my account filled with some extra Steem at a low price also keeps me optimistic, lol.
Nope I don't usually check my payout right recently . I focused on making a good quality blogs because If I try to check everyday it makes me very disappointed and I don't want to lose my motivation . I know cryptocurrency is unstable but I am very optimistic that it will recover any time maybe this year or next year. No one knows but for me I wanted make blogs and even if I don't earn a lot its okay . Making blogs is like a hobby for me and I wanted to keep my memories in Steemit . :)
I make more now in this dip than I made when I started and STEEM was at $8.
Free Money is Free Money, even if the amounts are smaller.
I actually don't bother to check because it makes me feel discouraged. What keeps me optimistic is the fact that I am certain that it will be green again. No matter what happens or how deep the dip goes, I am quite certain that we will all smile again. We have decided to do this, and the fact that I invested with no cash at all but I have earned this much makes me even want to stay put for the community. Cryptos will rise again, I hope so.
