How can we control our mind from distractions?

We have our own way to deal with feelings and emotions when we think of a problem. For example when feeling depressed, may calm down by focusing on the breathing. In this way we may try to reduce the feeling of emotion or anger. And when we feel sad, we entertain ourselves by imagining being in a happy place. I've tried similar strategies in a very powerful way, but with varying degrees of success.

If you can see what's going on in the brain when, surely you feel emotions and sensations like pain, depression, fear, and pleasure directly. The cause of your feelings is no longer a mystery, and the mental techniques you use in everyday life become clear and avoid anger.

You cannot control your mind from distractions. If you are actually focused on something you will automatically be free of distractions.

The best way to avoid a distraction is to satisfy it. If you feel hungry while doing a job, I suggest you satisfy your hunger and then get back to the job you were doing. If you feel like calling your Gf while you are on your Job do that. This will help you focus more on the job you have in hand.
