You need to ask yourself a few questions first before you do anything drastic. Did you wake up with back pain just today or has this been going on for a while and is getting a little worse each time. If the answer is no then what did you do yesterday to cause the pain? If the answer is yes and it is slowly getting worse then we need to look at how to help you.

I am a back pain sufferer myself and have lived with it now for over 15 years. it is in operable so I work round it the best I can. The trick is too look out for any pain before it gets too severe.

When last did you change your bed? The reason I ask that is most people think of it just for sleeping but we spend a third of our lives in bed. If your bed is old and tired with the springs not offering support it will cause back pain. Ask any chiropractor as this will always be the first thing they ask you. If your bed is old and tired replace it as soon as possible.

Hot bath followed by a massage to help relieve the muscles is always a good idea. if this doesn't work try find a muscle relaxant that will help like a anti inflammatory. Ice packs and heat packs can also assist.

If all of this doesn't work then I suggest before you try exercises to go and see a chiropractor. The reason why i say that is I have been using one for years now and sometimes whatever you try it will never work and just get slowly worse. normally back pain happens when your back is out of alignment and muscles are pulling trying to protect that particular area. It will most likely be  a quick fix and you will feel like new again.

When I experience back pain now it is too late to fix with massages and baths etc so I have no choice but to visit my chiro. It is not expensive and are normally covered by private medical cover.

Medication for back pain by prescription

Your doctor will usually prescribe a back pain medication along with physical therapy or other treatments. These various treatments are generally only to reduce pain, not eliminate the source of the underlying pain. Here are some of the remedies that doctors often prescribe:

1. Painkillers

NSAIDs, such as ibuprofen or sodium naproxen can relieve acute low back pain. You can find some pain relievers easily at a drug store without a prescription. However, make sure you consume it according to the instructions on the packaging.

Using excessive painkillers can cause serious side effects. If a prescription pain reliever does not also relieve your pain, your doctor may give a higher dose of prescription medication.

2. Topical pain relievers

If your back pain is mild, using topical painkillers might help. You can stick the patch or apply ointment to the area that is painful.

This type of painkiller can be easily found in stalls or drug stores without using a prescription.

3. Muscle relaxants

Your doctor may also prescribe muscle relaxants as a medicine for back pain if your condition does not improve. Muscle relaxants are usually used in combination with other drugs for back pain associated with muscle spasms.

4. Antidepressants

Antidepressants are usually used to treat depression. Even so, this drug can also be used to treat pain by changing chemical compounds in the brain, specifically serotonin and norepinephrine.

These brain chemical compounds have been shown to affect pain receptors and mood receptors. People with chronic pain conditions that do not respond to other treatments can use this medication to control pain.

5. Cortisone injections

If the various back pain medications mentioned above do not make your condition improve, your doctor may inject cortisone around your spinal cord. Cortisone injections help reduce temporary inflammation around nerve roots.

6. Opioid

Opioids are more powerful painkillers that are commonly used for more severe pain. This drug requires a prescription from a doctor and regular monitoring.

Opoid works by blocking pain receptors in the brain. This can also affect heart rate and breathing. Some examples of opioids include morphine, fentanyl, oxycodone, and codeine

The body shouldn't be bent forward. Sit down and break the knee while you lift something. Take the thing and slowly stand up. Do not carry any heavy stuff in one hand. By doing this, your muscles will pull up to the spine on the hand that you carry. As a result, the pain of the waist will increase further. Carry things as like a baby you carry on the waist. Do not carry heavy things on your shoulders. While sitting in the chair keep your waist straight. For this, one or two small cushions can put in the lower part of the waist. As a result, the waist will be straight. Do not sit for a long time. Take a walk for a while or you can stand in a side. If you have to stay for long periods of time, then you can walk around a place. One leg can be placed on a small tool and stand with the other leg. You will feel comfortable at it. If you were sitting in a train or car for long periods, then the pain will increases in the waist for the junk. For this, in a long journey, take a break after 1-2 hours, take a rest and again start. After getting down from the train-bus rest for some time, get relax your muscles of the waist, then carry your luggage. Practice sleeping in a hard bed. In this, the whole body gets support as well as the pressure in the lower spines decreases. For extra body weight, the pressure on the waist will increase and having waist pain. So lose your extra weight. Researchers found that waist pain increased due to tension. To reduce the stress of depression. You can also meditate. At such mental stress will get low. The following exercises can be done: 1. lie down. Keep your hands on two sides. Relax for 2-3 minutes. 2. Hold the upper part of the body (as much as we can) on the elbow, then slowly lift it up to 2-3 minutes. 3. lie down. Slowly raise the upper body part of the body on the palm of the hand. And stay 2/3 minutes.

The best cure for a back pain(more especially lower back pain) is WATER

This is a bit funny, but let me give the chemistry.

Lower back pain has two components;

1. Muscle spasm (major cause of 80% back pain)

2. Disc degeneration that puts added strain on the tendons and ligaments in the spinal column.

Both of these back-pain-causing conditions are initiated by CHRONIC DEHYDRATION.

WATER circulation to the disc spaces in the spinal column is difficult. The body must be adequately supplied with water in order for water to enter the disc spaces.

In a dehydrated state, when the body mass is constantly squeezing out the water content of the discs during movement and bending, not enough. The dehydrated discs with their shrunken cores gradually become less supportive of the weight of the body. The discs loose their wedge quality, and the spinal joints become less firm. A body well supplied with water on the other hand, the discs themselves do not physically move, but get continuously squeezed of water and then, through force vacuum, absorb water again and expand to function as the natural shock absorbers they are designed to be.

In a dehydrated state, the discs can shift backward to press on the local nerves. When this occurs, the pains becomes projected to one leg or the other is called SCIATIC PAIN.

In this state, the spinal joint structure has become so disorganized that one of the discs that has to shock-absorb for the spine is out of normal position and its pressing on the nerve.

Dehydration and bad posture are responsible in this condition.

Back pain, also known as the "evil of the century", concerns a large majority of people. Scientifically known as "low back pain", back pain affects men as well as women and can occur at any age.

An easy exercise, we lie on the ground on the ground, without having a belt that is uncomfortable, we bring his legs to his chest by taking both his knees and then we make large circles by the left then by the right, then you open your knees using your hands, rounding down and up. Since I do this every morning, I have no back pain.

There are various ways of handling that can be done so that the pain becomes prolonged, namely:

Stay active

Previously, rest was considered as a treatment that might relieve back pain. But now it is believed that the body that does not move actively in the long run is actually bad for the back. Regular exercise can be the right solution.

Painkillers

If your pain does not subside and feels unbearable, you can take painkillers, such as paracetamol or ibuprofen.

Vitamin B12

Provision of vitamin B12 can be a viable option for the treatment of chronic back pain, because some studies state that pain is reduced after administration of vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 is believed to provide benefits in regenerating injured nerves such as spinal cord suppression. But more research is needed on the effects of pain and how vitamin B12 works in dealing with back pain. Provision of vitamin B12 can be combined with antinyeri drugs, such as paracetamol, because it is safe and does not cause adverse effects.

Positive thinking

Relaxation can reduce muscle tension so it helps reduce the pain suffered. Patients who always think positively are also proven to recover faster than sufferers who are always anxious about their illness.

Manual therapy

Hot or cold compresses can help relieve pain. Other forms of treatment can also be done by doing therapy in a clinic or hospital, including physiotherapy.

Handling chronic back pain can include a combination of painkillers and one from manual therapy, acupuncture, and taking physical exercise classes.

Very few cases involve spinal surgery. This operation will only be performed if all of the above methods do not work.

Whenever you going to sleep takecareof the right position sleeping. If you've back pain then take a soft pillow and placed it under your back and another one take it under the legs. Simply slept on it straight. Now you can can feel relax from pain.

Another option is do not take high weight things on shoulder or back area because it can causes the high pain on your body. Always take care of yourself from the things that hurt you on the way.
