I live in Indonesia. Indonesia is a country that is famous for its diverse cuisine, both from Indonesia itself and from abroad.
One that is popular in my country is Sea food. Sea food itself is a food whose menu contains dishes from the sea.
In my opinion, sea food is a type of food or food that contains a lot of animal nutrition. Like squid, shrimp and crabs, this is very good for consumption. Therefore including seafood is known to be high in protein so it is good for health. But not many people know the exact value of the protein contained in seafood, as well as the energy and fat content.
Based on information from the Indonesian Food Composition Table in 2009 published by detikfood.com, the nutritional value of each type of seafood per 100 grams is:
1. Baronang contains 78 kcal, 14.5 grams of protein, and 0.6 grams of fat.
2. Bawal contains 91 kcal, 19 grams of protein, and 1.7 grams of fat.
3. Snapper contains 92 kcal, 20 grams of protein, and 0.7 grams of fat.
4. Gurame sweet acid contains 192 kcal, 12.7 grams of protein, and 10.1 grams of fat.
5. Squid contains 75 kcal, 16.1 gr protein, and 0.7 gr fat. If fried, the nutritional value will be 265 kcal, 40.6 grams of protein, and 10.1 grams of fat.
6. Fresh shrimp contains 91 kcal, 21 grams of protein, and 0.2 grams of fat.
7. Crab contains 151 kcal, 13.8 gr protein, and 3.8 gr fat.
In general, Wahyu Kurnia Yusrin Putra S.KM., M.K.M as a nutrition and public health practitioner at the University of Indonesia highlighted the high-cholesterol squid and crab fish. "The consumption must be limited," Wahyu said.
While other fish and seafood are rich in minerals, especially zinc and chromium. "Deep-sea fish are also high in essential fatty acids that are good for brain health," Wahyu explained when contacted by Foods (October 9, 2015). I quoted the Revelation statement from detikfood.com
Based on what nutrition practitioners say, Wahyu, we can conclude that seafood is generally good in consumption because it contains a lot of nutrients and nutrients, but we also have to limit the types of seafood categorized into seafood which contain high cholesterol.
I do like seafood ,but I am becoming more and more fussy.
When I travel now I am more careful what I eat as i have seen the test results from different regions on plastics. I saw the one from Europe recently which showed an average of 5 plastic particles per fish. Our bodies will not consume them and will just build up in our bodies.
I think this is disgusting and humankind should be ashamed of themselves for what we have done to the oceans. Soon it will get to the stage we will only be able to eat farmed fish reared in a safe environment.
We have been fishing for centuries and nothing will change. For the MFA to come out and say it is cruel now won't change a thing.
I really like Seafood, especially all types of fish that are consumptive. Why do I like it ?, because Seafood can improve our health more naturally. Some benefits are:
1. Healthy heart
Consumption of fish can prevent heart attacks and other heart diseases, it is thought that fish contain omega3. The function of Omega 3 to help increase heart activity. Omega3 is a fatty acid that can prevent blockages in the arteries and maintain heart health.
2. Health of muscles and bones
Fish that are rich in nutrients such as protein, vitamins, zinc can make the muscles and bones work more efficiently, slow down the degeneration process and prevent arthritis and help keep the joints active and strong.
3. Maintain eye health
Omega3 fatty acid content can prevent vision degeneration. Fish oil can help maintain eye health so that the eyes will stay healthy longer than they should. One of the fish that is good for eye health is salmon.
4. Healthy skin
Vitamins and proteins in the womb Fish can keep skin healthy, repair damaged cells. Omega 3 fatty acids can help the skin from harmful sunlight such as UV light so that the skin does not get sunburned, and prevents other skin diseases.
5. The immune system
A healthy and strong immune system is one of the benefits obtained from consuming seafood. Seafood has an important selenium content in maintaining the immune system, iodine in seafood can regulate the digestive system and increase immunity to disease.
When i think of sea food, I'm both happy and disgusted. Happy because i love cooked sea food and disgusted because i hate sushi. I truly can't fathom why people would literally eat raw food.
Now, as for cooked sea food and your notion of it being unhealthy. I dont know what you read or saw but sea food is healthier than red meat found in land animals. For starters it reduces the probability of having cancer, high blood pressure, obesity.
Sea food containers little or no fat as it constitutes less than 2% of fat. For slimmers, sea food is all good news as you dont need to trim any fat, you can just cook in your desired manner. It is also low in cholesterol which is important in the body by high levels of cholesterol is not safe for human beings and it has negative effects for those with high cholesterol levels. Eating fish two or three times a week will reduce the high levels and also the risk of heart disease.
Sea food is high in proteins, vitamis and minerals and most importantly omega 3 fatty acids which play critical roles in our body.
Seafood is delicious almost any way you slice it. I am a big fan of most of the creatures that come from the water, weather they be served raw (sashimi style) or cooked. Seafood are full of nutrients and usually much better quality than the factory farmed beef, pork and chicken we consume.
Having said that, there are still a few squirmy creatures that I pass up on or haven't been brave enough to try, but in the future my friend. Fresh seafood is delicious and nutritious, Love it
