Yes, i did. I joined steemit about 11 months ago but i wasn't active on steemit for 11 months. When i joined steemit, I didn't know anything about steemit and i started copy/pasting type of stuffs. When i was getting no reward from it i got hopeless and left posting. I wasn't on steemit for around 1 month. This was the longest pause for me. At that time i researched on steemit and learned a bit and then i again returned and started posting.

By this time i have learned many things and knew about many community like utopian-io. I always tried to continuously post on steemit. In this time i took pause also but none of my pause was as long as my starting pause. Most of the break was only for 3 to 7 days as i had some important work in my real life or for my exam or i had to travel anywhere or left posting for some days being sad seeing crypto market down.

In life everyone should take pause from their work for a while. In my case if i hadn't took the long pause at the starting i might not be here as that pause helped me in researching and seeing others work.

Yes i did,

I had taken a pause at the beginning of my steemit as had taken 2 weeks of time to Activate my account and at a time i was free but after it I had my exams which was very tough for me to crack. So, at the beginning of March 2018 to April 2018 i had taken a gap in steemit posting as I had created account before in Feburary 2018. Since, before i have posted only 1 post as it was for my Introduction and then I had to prepare for my exams too.

Further, It was very difficult for me to manage my exams with posting on steemit. So I had to quiet the steemit posting and focused on my exams. The gap was for 1 month of time and it was very hard to cover this gap in steemit because i had bought 1000 steem power in delegation. Besides, It was very difficult to manage my steem power delegation in just 2 months of time as It forced me to work a 2 times harder than before.

A Student can relaize more better if the person has both his job and his work together then wjat happens to his mind So I need to quiet my steemit posting for 1 month of time and again next month I will not be able to work as this will be my final year exams.

3 months and I'm still paused right now. I haven't decided the best route to continue yet. I like to cook but cooking posts don't get upvotes. My art series did very well but was a bit tedious and boring. Right now I have my account setup to vote for steem until I figure out what I want to do.

Yes and it was just for few days. It was not because I was discouraged due to lack of reward but I need a break as I was tired doing so manything at that time. Just like any other thing we might me doing. There will be a time to rest.

Ever since I joined steemit (almost a year) I have been try to write a post once per day (I have positive mind about the platform) although I do skip but I am try it out. With this kind of DAPP, it will be much easier to just take a break from posting and switch to commenting and other stuffs.

Yes, I had a long pause. Generally speaking, it lasted from September 2017 to July 2018. I got occupied with my teaching work at a local college in my city, and totally forgot about Steemit and posting blogs. I didn't keep track of the STEEM or SBD that I had.

Looking back, I wish I hadn't been completely absent. I like the community and users I have met here so far. I don't intend to have another long pause like that!

Sure.

Everybody's got to take a break once in awhile. However, I've never been able to stay away from very long.

I used to spend all day every day looking at this site. When I was at work, when I was out with friends, I would always be checking on how I was doing with the rep system and with my posting.

There was a time when I was posting four times a day. However, I've had to reduce that quite a bit.

I still post everyday but every once in a while I will go a week or so without posting anything.

It's good to recharge your batteries.

I think I took quite some pauses back in 2016, when Steem was still whalehunting and lottery like. Back then I was struggling for my master thesis and stuff like that, I couldn't really spend much time blogging. Wasn't very consistent until May 2017 or so, right before the HF19. I still think it was a bad decision that I didn't spend more time on blogging.

Yes, I paused in posting Steemit for I guess more that a couple of months (2 months)

Well problems really do cross our paths, I paused on steemit when I was still a student and was working with my research study. Focusing on my research study was my priority because I believe that the Steemit community will last for a very very lone time.

I believe that even I became inactive in the community I will still be accepted whenever I go back.

I just can't find my time to make posts while I was making my research study as I need to pull many nights of all-nighter.

Come to think of it, a person pulling 5 days and 5 nights of working with his research study still able to make posts in steemit which really requires a lot of effort and time

Well if I can manage to make a time to publish some post I think I woul choose to sleep and take a rest for that time

I still don't want to kill myself Hahahahaha

Yes, just like any endeavor, one needs to take eventual rests in order to continue posting depending on your stress tolerance, the time you're willing to invest, and your perceived reward to receive from the platform - monetary and social.

Prior to STEEM dAPPs, I say from a couple of days to a few weeks. But due to the emergence of different dApps like musing.io, I think it will be difficult for people to take a break because they can now easily switch to different dapps depending on the mood their in.

But if you're referring to strictly blog posts and not comments, then it's definitely weeks for me.

Yes. I have.

It was during my ewrloer days on Steemit. I'm currently about a year and three days on Steemit.

I had just gotten my account approved for online Steemit before news of my service year came in.

We have what we call NYSC in my country. It means National Youth Service Corp. It's a compulsory one year service to the nation after the completion of tertiary education. During thus exercise, whichever last for one year, one is poster to a region of up country he's never been told before.

I got posted to the west, to a village with no power supply. This meant that I had a ton pay, from the small allowance the government had wa paying, to charge my devices every time. I wasn't really doing anything online apart from Steemit. Then, the pay wasn't even up tomorrow what we see now.

After thinking for some time, I decided to put a stop to my writing on Steemit to allow me save some money. See, I had been blogging a story every single day on Steemit without the hope to get someone visibility and probably, some reward. None of these were forthcoming. I had been gathering some sbd though and I think I was about 62 then.

Something urgent came up and I had to sell them off for about 20k in my currency. I then went off for a few days.

Can you imagine my surprise when I logged in to back after about five days and the price of sbd had mooned from about $1 to $10? I was pained because if I had a been online, I would have known about it. What is sold for about 20k would have fetched memorex than 200k. Since then, I've vowed not to be able offer for more than two days and even then, I always find a way to stay connected with the happenings.

Yes. I had to take a break when I have to move from one country to another. It was very hectic as well as stressful days. But it was not a very long break as I had expected. Soon after the break my first post was all about the shifting.

Then again I took a break when I was in a kind of writers block and couldn't find any strong inspiration or motivation to make meaningful posts. I had lot to write about. I had many ideas but it just was not coming as a post.I kept on pending. But took help of steepshot in the mean time.

Musing is a blessing when we are in short of post but still want to engage with the community. Using platforms like Steemit, musing makes us feel  more productive .
