Do you check out other answers before posting your own answers??

You've got a new profile picture my friend. Usually when I am typing I do read what I've written to make sure that it makes sense in some ways and I am writing something that is relevant. Sometimes I cross check with the facts on Google for those questions that require some technical writing.

The question that I have is what if there are those who isn't good at writing English, how do they actually check their own answer? Anyways, luckily my phone has got the spell check so everytime there is any spelling mistakes it can be ratified very easily. Sometimes I get stuck writing and just wait a while before continuing. If the whole piece of writing doesn't make any sense, then usually I would delete everything and pick another question that I can have answers to.

I usually check to see if the whole grammar in the sentences writing is of a good flow or not and whether what I've written makes sense at all. Then the next thing I check is that if it's similar to the next answer written by another person. If it is then I would change my answers a bit to make sure it won't be.

Well skim might be the perfect word for it. I skim other answers first before posting my own, not to get some of their idea and claim it as my own but to avoid being "too redundant".

Take for example one of the most commonly asked question here: "What bots/communities would you recommend for newbies to use?".

Seeing as there are only a few bots/communities around, chances are my answer would likely be the same from what others provided. If I noticed that my answer is around 75% the same I skip that question out. Otherwise if I have something new to add or feel I can explain in detail what's great about that bot/community then I post my recommendation too. XD

This is also the reason why I tend to answer "new questions" first and questions that only have got a few answers.

I do so. it is apparently because of the fact that if someone has already posted the same answer then what is the need to post it again by me. So better if the available answer are matching with my answer which I am going to post, I generally skip it as it is unnecessarily going to add volume only.

If I have a different view point or if I feel that I have a better answer than the available answers to a question, then I generally post my answer. I personally feel that way the question and answer will look more good than the same repeated answer  by many.

Majority of the time I don't check the answer before posting my answer. I think it distracts your own idea of answering. People like creativity and every person in this world is unique due to difference in thinking and behavior so it's better to give your input honestly. However if you feel clueless about the question what the questionnaire wants it's not a bad choice to see the answer of fellow steemians.

No, I often answer what I already know based on experience and based on the knowledge that I have. If I don't know about a subject, I will not answer it, and I will let other people who have the capacity to deal with the problem.

I do not want to be the jack of all trades and master of none, I try my best to answer questions that I know and can provide answers, the rest so that other capable people answer them.

No I do not. I want to give my own opinion on things, not regurgitate the same thing. I do often go look after I answer to see if i am in the majority or the minority on the answers though.

No I don't as we should  try and be original as possible. I don't have the time to read  the answers.  If I am not sure on the question I will rather skip answering it.

I think if users read the answers then all the answers would be very similar. Originality would disappear and the curators job would be highly boring. Maybe it would be good that answers are only shown after a certain time period to stop the cheating or idea finding.
