You and I think along the same lines.
This was something that should have been discussed. Ned knew at Steemfest already and it should have been raised amongst everyone who was there. This is not something that just happens overnight and all I can think of was keeping a positive vibe going.
Steemfest looks like a premature thing now for the Dapps and SMT's and it kind of makes sense on some things he said. Dapps were informed that they need to find a second income as delegations would be removed at some point. Maybe sooner than we all think.
I have no idea around the thought process but trust and transparency are key. We have all invested time and money and it should have been raised during the 4 day event.
Well, I have thought of this same thing too and my conclusion is that he probably wanted to avoid the whole questioning and people having doubts and then turning the rest of the Steemfest discussion to addressing the issue. Because, truth be told, if he had made such announcement at Steemfest, he would obviously have to deal with a lot from the Steemians in person than he would over the internet. That may probably be his reason. Not sure though.
He must have had a very good reason and I'm not sure I agree with him. It's like he didn't want to ruin the party with bad news. Dropping the news at Steemfest would have changed everything but even so, it would have been the right call.
Having a lot of people come together with the same purpose and goal is amazing and this is exactly why it should have been brought up. This is very important and affects all of us.
We have all invest time and money one way or another. Steemfest had a purpose and the main goal was not the party but the discussions, changing ideas, building strategies, making plans for the future.
Well, I assume it's easier to deal with a barrage of questions from behind a computer screen than face to face. I'm not saying he's a coward. My point is that, if he has dropped the news there, the entire event would have been focused on that one piece of news. Everyone would have questions waiting to be answered.
