Diseases  that are most often associated with the dangers of obesity include  heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol levels, liver  disease and gall bladder. Being  overweight can also affect the performance of the insulin hormone that  causes diabetes, which will increase the risk of heart disease and  stroke. Excess fat interferes with the heart because it causes cholesterol deposits, increased blood pressure, and clogged arteries. In women, the danger of obesity can result in irregular menstruation and infertility.

2. Causes sleep disturbances

People who are too fat are more at risk of experiencing sleep disorders. One of them is sleep apnea, a condition when people stop breathing several times during sleep. This is one of the serious sleep disorders. This  condition makes oxygen levels drop dramatically, affecting the heart  and blood vessels and increasing the risk of diabetes and stroke.

Being overweight can increase the risk of osteoporosis. In  addition, you are also at risk of experiencing pain in the knee joint  and back due to the body supporting the excessive burden.

4. Increases the risk of getting cancer

In  men, obesity can also lead to increased risk of various types of  cancer, such as esophageal cancer, kidney cancer, pancreatic cancer,  thyroid cancer, and colon cancer. While in women, obesity can increase the risk of kidney cancer, gallbladder cancer, esophageal cancer, and uterine cancer.

5. Discrimination and lack of confidence

Teenagers who have obese bodies tend to have psychological and social problems. They can grow into teenagers who are not confident and experience discrimination or bullying from their surrounding friends.
