We have a very lengthy question here but I will try as much as possible to give summarized and explicit answers to your questions and I hope you will find this helpful.
Before answer your question about Steemit, I actually want to explain an important thing to you about Bernie Sanders. I think you've forgotten the fact that Bernie Sanders is actually a good whale on Steemit. It is very normal and possible for whales on Steemit to earn such amount due to their high level of steem power which adds more to their influence and also their investments on Upvoting services or bid bots will also help them earn more upvotes.
# Can You Quickly Make Money With Steemit, Like Bernie Sanders Earning $343.09 Weekly Writing Questions & Comments?
Yes you can also make such amount every week just like Bernie Sanders is also doing. If you actually want to achieve this, it is required you do all what he does to earn such upvotes but most importantly you have to have huge steem power by investing more in steem. One of the advantage of becoming a whale on Steemit is that you have high level of influence and your upvotes becomes very worthy. Also surround yourself with whales like you to gain their upvote support.
# How does Steemit work for the newcomer?
For the new Comer with low SP, Steemit maybe very frustrating and difficult at the start but you have to keep staying consistent on the platform and keep doing the below tips as this will help you grow your Steemit account and help you attract more followers on the platform.
- Always provide quality posts.
- Be part of a community.
- Develop mutual relationships with other Steemians.
- Make quality comments and upvotes on other people's posts.
- Make use of Steemit DApps.
I am sure when you practice the above tips, it will surely grow your account very fast even though Steemit may not be favorable for newcomers with low SP at first but you will surely enjoy the platform as you grow more.
# Can a person really make money with Steemit, just by writing very short pieces, asking questions and making comment?
Yes you can make money with Steemit by doing what you've listed. It actually depends on on your exposure on the platform and your amount of steem power. One of the best ways to achieve this as a newbie or Steemian with low steem power is to start making use of "Musing". Musing is a question and answer platform built on steem blockchain where Steemit users are able to earn more money for their activities.
# How can someone make money with Steemit by constructing valuable short articles and asking questions giving other people an opportunity to earn money with their comments?
Most whales actually do this as a means of helping and supporting the minnows by giving them quality upvotes and I think @Berniesanders also does such things. This will serve as a means of getting more number of comments for them and making their post more controlled and interactive.
# Is it possible to make money with Steemit posting valuable comments? If so, how does one go about doing it?
Yeah, you can actually make money by posting valuable comments. I have made money by commenting on people's posts and I am still making money doing that. I hope to write about this in my coming blogs but I will have to just give you an insight about how you can go about this. All you need to do is to read the post or content extensively such that you are able to understand what the writer is saying as this will help you provide good quality comments on such people's post. Always ensure you make positive comments that contains quality and if possible quantity and you can also make your comment controversial as this will help you build stronger relationship with the writer.
# Do you have any tips?
Read the answers I have posted above.
# Do you notice someone that is doing something that is really working?
Yeah.. I am actually a living testimony and some other Steemians.
# What have you done to earn the big bucks?
-Making use of Musing and some other little DApps if possible.
- Creating quality content
- Making quality comments
# How do you make loyal friends who will follow you?
You also have to be a loyal person to attract loyal people. Always make sure you support them and make good quality comments on their posts.
# How can you make your post really look nice?
- Always ensure you avoid plagiarism.
- Make use of the right images.
- Know your audience and make them ask for more after reading your posts.
- Use the necessary and right tags.
- Focus more on your posts quality.
- Apply italics, bold, header and other formatting tools when necessary.
# Who are some great people to follow that know how to earn Steem?
There are lots of people you can follow on Steemit but if you really want to earn upvotes, then these set of people must have a reasonable amount of "steem power" or "will power" to support you. I actually can't recommend all of them for now but I suggest you can follow the below Steemit users ;
And many others. You can easily find others by staying consistent on the platform. The more you make use of Steemit, the more you understand how it works.
Thanks for reading and I and I hope this.
So, first things first: You mention the crazy amounts of money Bernie makes. Go take a look at his wallet, and see how much Steem Power he holds. His upvotes are worth that much because he has a ridiculous amount of Steem Power to work with. He's not exactly the best example of someone really using the Steem Blockchain for good. Now that that's out of the way, let's break down your questions:
" 1. Do you have any tips? "
Plenty! Start by joining communities and getting to know people. I see you just joined a few days ago, so welcome to the Steem Blockchain! One great thing you can do is make a post introducing yourself. Use the #introduceyourself hashtag when you post, and tell us a little bit about yourself. There are several groups that troll through that tag, looking for new people. You'll pick up a handful of upvotes along the way, too! As for the communities, check out @minnowsupport. They're the largest Steem Discord community, with a radio show on @vimm, support from multiple witnesses, and a global reach. I met a ton of really awesome people that way, and I cannot recommend the group enough.
Second tip! Don't spend your time worrying about how much a post makes. Especially you, as a writer. Just write, and share your writing with others. There are short form writing communities that I know exist, but am not affiliated with them, so I can't help you there.
" 2. Do you notice someone that is doing something that is really working? What is it? "
Yeah, me! :P All jokes aside, I have found ways to make this place work, and I hit minnow (500SP) in one year on the blockchain. It took regular posting, a couple lucky breaks from @curie, and a shipload of networking, but I was able to pull it off. I got into @steembasicincome relatively early on, and their upvotes certainly helped. I try to give out SBI shares to newer folks when I have spare steem, but I don't have any to share with you at the moment. Sorry!
As for what brings in my Steem? A lot of things. I share pictures from my travels. I stream video games on @vimm. I log my steps with @actifit. I comment on other people's posts. I answer questions on @musing and share them to my blog.
" 3. What have you done to earn the big bucks? "
I have two posts that hit it big:
My Far Cry 5 Review: https://steemit.com/gaming/@ddrfr33k/review-far-cry-5
How I pranked my wife at the Altar: https://steemit.com/storytime/@ddrfr33k/comedy-open-mic-round-33-entry-how-i-pranked-my-wife-at-the-altar
I also had the fortuitous timing to stream on dLive back before they jumped ship. I would make 10-15 steem per stream when I was on there. Sadly, those days are long gone...
" 4. How do you make loyal friends who will follow you? "
The only advice I can give you there is to be yourself. Be friendly. Network with others. When someone posts something, chime in with your own opinion! If you see something cool, tell them that you think it's cool. Build up the other new people you find, and they will build you up, too. The Steem community is unique in that regard. Everyone has to help each other for us all to grow. I'm making about a Steem or two a day now, though it took me a year and a half to reach that point. But it's doable! I'm powering up as much as I can, upvoting the people around me, and they're returning the favor.
It's not easy, but it's certainly doable. I am just now starting to see the fruits of my labor pay off, which makes me quite happy, you know?
" 5. How can you make your post really look nice? "
The Steem Blockchain uses Markdown, much like Reddit. Steemit links to a Markdown guide, and there are markdown guides other people have created.
" 6. Who are some great people to follow that know how to earn Steem? "
Well, you can start with me... :P
All jokes aside, you're better off finding people of similar interests as your own. They're more likely to upvote your content because they ACTUALLY LIKE your content. And that's far more valuable than following someone who talks about making lots of Steem. I mean, I talk about Video Games a lot. That's great if you love video games, but if I'm making posts that you don't care about, you're just gonna ignore me. Not really useful, you know?
Also, I tossed you an upvote on your question. Cheers!
Ignore all of the posts that you see earning $100 and up. The majority of these posts have been self voted and the use of promotional bots. Normally a post that has $100 on it you can bet that $90 or more has been spent on it.
I have been here for around 15 months now and just coming up to 5000 SP in my account. I haven't had the funds to invest so it as been very hard and slow. Like anything it takes time and loads of commitment. I don't mind though as this is loads of fun.
Where else can you engage with other users and earn. This is the trick though as it is social and you need to read loads and comment. Decent comments though and you will find some will reply and upvote your comments. The first 6 months you must see yourself as a pickpocket looking for any crumbs you can collect.
Don't chase votes by hunting out the big accounts as most of them don'y upvote and upvote others in their circle. There are a number of good authors on here with some informative information. Find content you like and then see who they are following to get a good idea and you will find your comfort levels and like minded people.
Don't rush and take your time to learn and understand. I am still learning, but know enough to understand most things. Once you understand how to grow you will be well on your way. The key is to be consistent in what you do and eventually you will break down any barriers you may come across.
Truthfully the older users do watch what you do and will start supporting you the longer you are here. Remember we have had many users arrive and leave after they have made some money and that is not what others want to see. They want you to grow and be part of the community so you can add value at some point as well.
To give you some time lines on how I grew so you don't have any ideas of vast riches straight away it is slow in the beginning. My first 15 sp took around 30 days. !80 SP took around 120 days. 1000 SP is around 8-9 months and then it gets easier. the last 6 months I have been growing much faster at around 500 SP per month. I would try and work out a growth plan after a couple of months so you can try different things as everyone works differently.
I think it is fairly easier now because of some of the Dapps that are around today. Musing is one of them and Steemhunt is another. These have really helped me grow and just don't get caught up in here for too long. Steem is the main site and where you will get your following. This is where your account grows and people get to know you.
Rhere are some Dapps like Esteem and Busy that you can use to post your posts and you may receive a supporting upvote from them. busy.org is slightly different as your vote you receive depends on the followers you have.
Just take it slowly as there is a lot to learn and take in. It can be overwhelming in the beginning, but the main thing just have fun.
Hahahahahaha.....I wish it was as easy as that,at the moment you can only make that kind of money by investing money,if you want to reply on upvoted, you may still have a long way to go
