How to improve as writing?

Consistency is key. If you practice anything, you will likely become more proficient at whatever it is you are practicing.

This applies to writing, and typing as well.

Since beginning my journey on musing, I've not only noticed my grammar has improved, but also, my typing speed has drastically improved.

The other night, I was in the zone, typing away on musing, and at one point just felt like I was one with the keyboard. Sound's wild I know, but this is what happens when you practice for hours daily.

Keep at it, you will get better.

Writing _ the most important part of the English language. Firstly, I guess we gotta read lots of books. Lots and lots of books. Usually I spend alot of time reading English books of the topic of my interest. If you have completed a book, you would have read around thousands of word and learning lots of stuff. Writing is like a muscle. It needs to be trained. Some are not born writers. I can write but I don't think I am able to write in the level of top authors like Stephen King. I checked his biography and he writes on average 1500 words. Imagine that. If you did that everyday and in just four days, those words add up to 6k.

The second way is the fastest, it is to constantly have conversations with people who can speak proper English and converse with them. Eventually you will pick up words. If you however, manage to find a person who speaks improper English, you end up copying his/her broken English.

To improve on tenses, just get more grammar book to practice and read. There are tons of these references which I find really helpful. Then try to write them down in a note book. It will act as a guide. Well, writing is fun. In here, it would be typing. I also keep a diary. I write frequently in my diary. It trains your brain to turn ideas to words.

Watch more documentaries, read English news and most importantly, practice as it will lead to better and better English command. It's a global language and still is.

Communication skills are extremely important, especially in the digital age. A blog can be reposted several times across a variety of websites and social media accounts. Here are 10 ways to improve your writing:

1. Get to the point. These days, people have much shorter attention spans. Studies show that most Internet site visitors spend less than eight seconds viewing a Web page. You need to hook your audience with your main points right away. Give them what they're looking for, or they'll quickly leave.

2. Write simply. Truth is simple. And not everyone has a college degree. Simple copy can deliver your message more convincingly than complex language. The goal is to let your audience understand what you're trying to say. That requires a straightforward voice.

3. Avoid using words that have multiple meanings.

4. Provide credible sources and supporting evidence. People will believe your if your content is believable.

5. Write for audiences whose primary language may not be English. Non-native speakers (of English) may be reading your article. Make sure your content can deliver its message to a diverse crowd.

6. Edit at least four times. Take a break before you make your last edit. You'll have a fresh set of eyes and find errors you didn't notice before.

7. Use bold headings and bullet points to make your copy skimmable. Most readers skim articles. Headings, bold subheadings, bullet points, and numerical lists enable audiences to quickly understand what your article is about.

8. The title should accurately summarize the main point of the article. Don't write misleading titles for the purpose of click bait. You'll alienate site visitors.

9. Provide your email so readers can point out any errors (and potential clients can contact you).

10. Let yourself shine. That means, be original.

This question is very interesting because writing is the process of describing a language so that the message conveyed by the writer can be understood by the reader. In learning English there are four aspects of language skills, namely listening, speaking, reading and the last is writing. Although writing is placed last but writing is not an insignificant skill.

In writing learning in the classroom often the educator / teacher only gives students a title or topic. Students make a text, and the teacher assesses the errors of grammar, vocabulary, and spelling in it. Writing then only becomes a testing tool. The item this time is the reason why writing has a "bad reputation".

Well, how to improve writing so that your writing's reputation is good.

The following is how to improve writing:

1. Stop using excessive passive sentences

One of the most common forms of bad writing is the use of excessive passive sentences. The passive sentence transforms the object of an action into the subject of a sentence with a verb form such as "Ali has been attacked by Yusuf" and not using a simple sentence "Yusuf attacks Ali." Learn to avoid this sentence as much as possible.

"The novel was written by Rina while still in college." This is an example of passive sentences. "Rina wrote the novel while still in college" this is an active sentence form.

Using passive sentences is not always bad. Sometimes there is no right way to make an active statement or sometimes you want a lighter touch so that the formation of passive sentences is possible. However, follow the following rules before you begin making exceptions.

2. Use strong words

Good writing has an element of precision, arousing feelings, and flavored with unexpected things. Using the right verb or adjective can change a sentence that does not inspire into a sentence that people will remember and quote in the future. So therefore look for specific words as much as possible. Try not to repeat the same words over and over unless you are trying to make a sentence rhythm.

  • One of exception to this is the words used to describe dialogue. Bad writing contains the sentences "he comments" and "he answers." Well-placed "sayings" can be extraordinary, but often simple words like "he said" will be more successful. It might feel awkward using "he said" constantly, but changing things unnecessarily will make it harder for the reader to follow the flow of conversation from beginning to end. When writing a dialogue, you want the reader to listen to the sounds of the characters in the writing, not your voice.
  • Strong does not mean difficult to understand or more complicated. Don't use the word "reduction" if you can use the word "decrease". "He mobilizes the masses" no better than "He recruit the masses." If you have the possibility to use the word "organized", just use it. However, if the word "regular" is more likely and doesn't sound complicated, use this word.

3. Eliminate things that are not important

Good writing is writing that is simple, clear, and direct to its purpose. Posts containing 50 words will not mean if they can be written in just 20 words. Good writing uses the right words and not using words that only fill the page. It might be fun to package all ideas and details into one sentence, but it's likely that the sentence is difficult to understand. If a phrase doesn't add anything of value, then just remove it.

4. Avoid cliché things

The clichés I mean are phrases, ideas, or situations that don't seem original. Cliches may have strength on the one hand, but their use is too excessive so that it only has a small value unless re-imagined in creative ways. It's hard to say exactly what makes something cliché, but more than that, like pornography, you'll find out if you see it.

5. Break the rules

The best writers don't just follow the rules. They know when and how to break it. Everything from traditional grammar to advice on writing above can be done if you know that getting off track will improve your writing. The key is that you always have to write well enough and deliberately break the rules.

Hopefully what I described above can be useful for anyone who wants to improve their writing.

Write. Daily. Frequently and always. Writing is an art and it is developed by consistent practice. You get better at something by engaging in that activity consistently. To improve on your writing skill, write every single day. Thanks to the Steemit platform, you have the opportunity to get better at it by making a post daily.

If you practice some time in a few steps, there will be a lot of good results.

Steps I am describing detail below ...

Exercise Practice: You must first select how to write each one. You may have noticed that in the school, the dot method or the barn of the KG school students have written handwriting exercises in front of them. This method is very effective. You can write beautiful text quickly if you can write beautiful text. If you want to write barn in the form of letters, the letters are drawn or very tilted, but dot method is required. The handwriting is just a form of the beautiful rule.

Simple writing practice: If writing is not straightforward then there are many problems. It looks nice to see a text when all the articles are arranged straightaway. To straighten the barn, practice regular dot method. To make the line straight, write on the rule or rule paper. In English writing, you must practice writing on the rule paper.

Regular writing practices: No random, nothing like regular. Must have a specific time of writing practice every day. This work will be done with great concentration and patience. It can be helpful to write ten paisa a day.

Explanation : The purpose of practice was to write clear letters. While many people write quickly, they are presented in a distorted manner. So if anybody can not understand any word, then emphasize it. The higher the writing of which can be read as quickly as possible (someone else should read it) So when writing the main purpose of writing, keep the reader's mind in mind. Write clearly.

Be attentive: Be attentive to what you are writing. You are writing a sentence. But do not forget that you are writing a few words very quickly. Whenever you write Born, you should remember again that you are just writing the description of any structure. This sketch is the best effort to make your handwriting beautiful .

The best way to improve is to read well written articles like published novels. This would build your vocabulary. Also by studying a dictionary to learn more words and how they can collocate.
