I am doing the same. A matter of fact I have done less in the past few weeks because I spend much more time on musing than on Steemit and I don't have what to share on Steemit. In my personal life nothing worth sharing happend and about the crypto market I am not in mood to speak anymore. However I wasn't on here I would definitely be on Steemit. I have seen the price dropping ever since it was $5, that was the time I joined the platform and I always blogged with the idea of a $10 Steem. That motivated me to continue. It feels sad to see it as low as it is right now, but that's the trend of the market. It's never flat and honestly I wouldn't want such thing. I like cryptos because they are volatile and thanks to their swings one can earn money. I think though that this was the final shakeout and that from here there will only be one way and that's upwards. I believe that because lots of the people that were bullish suddenly turned bearish and the market seems to always do the opposite of the crowd. A few weeks ago everybody was waiting for a bull market to commence and was drawing charts to prove that and now they all point towards $3000 for BTC and even $1000. That's when the market does the opposite and leaves the shorters behind. Same thing with Steem and Steemit. I am not shorting it and I am not shorting my time spent on this blockchain either. Whether it is Steemit or musing I am here everyday.
Quite honestly, I am not sure. I have been considering pulling back on the amount of time I am on Steemit. That is mainly because of the time of the year though, not because of the price.
With the holiday's approaching I am going to be spending more time with my family and I probably won't be able to be as active on Steemit as I used to be.
That would be the same if the price were $.10 or $10.00. This is a time of year to spend with your loved ones and celebrate the joy of the season.
I certainly still have some posts lined up that I am going to share. Even with the price low, any profit that I make right now will just be increased when the price goes up. Rewards can be exchanged for a great rate on SP right now and you would be crazy to not be powering up some of your SBD to SP.
The exchange rate won't always be this good and when the price of STEEM goes up past $1, you are going to be kicking yourself for not taking advantage of it.
I think in the end, you will probably see me doing about the same amount on the blockchain if not slightly less. Again, it isn't because of the price though, it is mostly because of the time of year.
If I find a topic that I think I can start a good series on. I will post multiple times a day. I just haven't thought of anything yet!
I don't think so. My activities still remain the same. I will advise others to do the same.
For new accounts, this is their chance to get better visibility on the platform. As you know, many of the top account holders will be hoarding their posts until the price goes up, which is not anytime soon, if you ask me. So if you want to be heard; if you have something worth sharing, this is the time to do so.
Also, there is more steem up for grabs. And the strain on the reward pool will be less. So this is indeed an opportunity.
I am currently on a post-per-day schedule for 30days, so I won't be slowing down anytime soon. Plus, musing is very interactive at this point so I don't think I will be bored. There is always something on here to trigger your thoughts.
I think I'm going to post more. I've read analysis and opinions about what to do in case the price drops. Obviously it's a question of point of view and it is influenced by various factors.
I can only speak to myself but I'm going to post more. Don't get me wrong, I'm not going to flood Steemit with 5 - 10 posts a day, but I'm going to raise the number of my posts with 100%, which would mean 2 posts per day :D
That's my policy, I might be wrong but at the moment I think it worth to be more active. I'm going to increase the level of my engagement as well. Posting is not enough, we all know that. Time will prove if I'm wrong or not.
IMHO, I lost track of my Steemit activities lately.
For me it feels like my daily steeming is just another day of my social media activity, like how I do FB before.
So to answer your question, the current price of Steem won't affect my use of Steemit, it will stay as per usual.
This past few days, I realize that the low price of steemit is actually earning me more SP which is great.
Nothing has changed with my activities on Steemit. I am here on Steem for 16 months, I saw the prices from the low $0.70 since I started until it went up to about $17. I saw the dramatical drop from the peak up to how it is now. Im fact, my activities even intensified compared to how I work on Steem several months ago. Besides, with dapps like musing.io, why do I have to spend lesser time in Steemit? These are the moments to put more input. Eventually, we will reap some rewards.
Nope, not really. I am experimenting with other DApps that interact with the blockchain at the moment but I'm satisfied with steemit the way I'm using my time with it now. It allows me to have comparative analysis on what steemit is missing by seeing new ways to add value to the blockchain from DApps. Prices will go up and low but the blockchain's functionality never did change in response to it. It just consistently tries to improve and adapt.
