I think it's going to be an issue here because people can sign up using their email address and then change their handle... community will need to be extra vigilant.
There probably should be badges or something that signify an account has been connected to the same username on another platform. Like, connect to X, reddit, Insta, whatever... and if it's the same username, you get a badge for that platform next to your image?

Good solution, but you must also prevent people from using twitter handles that havent been registered. I can give you unlimited access to my api, send funds 😁.
That's a good idea. Twitter seems to be the source of truth for accounts in the crypto space generally. But I know it can be an issue when somebody has different usernames across different platforms, which happens frequently.
