I don't know about people actually being banned, but they do get muted.
Questions or answers could be at times hidden in the shadow by the moderator.
Most common reasoning behind such actions are, the question being derivative, the questions being a re-post, or questions/answers being copied from different sources.
I don't know if banned is the proper word for it but there are people who are ignored for not respecting the rules. Many users are on the list for plagiarism.
I've seen many questions rephrased and posted again, one was quite obvious, the poster has used the same example as the original poster and has been spotted out not only by me but by the original poster as well.
It's a shame these people don't understand what we are doing here, the importance of fair play. Plagiarism is the plague of this century.
Hopefully they will disappear, once they realise upvotes are only for original content.
Being muted is almost the same as being banned from the platform. And yes, I wouldn't be surprised if there are a lot of users muted already. There was a period when spam was rampant and I don't see the same authors being active right now. Spam, plagiarism, and re-posts are the common reasons why a user will likely be muted.
Yeah a user can be blacklisted on musing.io if a user disobeys the rules and regulations of this platform, example of offence that could make a person blacklisted on musing is when they engage in plagiarism,spamming,etc...
@Nygma, In my opinion, the beauty of Decentralisation is there is no banning. But in my opinion, if user have very less Steem Reputation may the questions and answers can be hidden, but i am not sure. Stay blessed. 🙂
