Facebook. Though it’s more of a love-HATE relationship than something I’d want to call my “favorite.” Lol.
My favorite social media platforms are in this order; Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter. I would have added YouTube, but YouTube is more of a search engine than a social media platform.
Facebook remains number one because of the no. Of users there. Everyday there are over 3 billion active users on facebook worldwide. There's an increased engagement on my posts and no. of likes here compared to other social media platforms. Also, the facebook messenger make it even more interesting to also have a chat with your close friends and strangers who wish to rapport with you.
Instagram is most effective for sharing of pictures and promotion of businesses, goods and services. If you wish to promote your brand asides your personal content. Then Instagram is a good place for you to do that, or let's say a better place.
LinkedIn is for business and academic contacts and rapport. But gradually, it's becoming more flexible with an increase no. Of users. Contracts, employment offers and deals have been sealed through LinkedIn. So if you're not there, you can think of signing up an account.
Finally, Twitter. I love twitter because of its own *"Madness"*. Anything can trend over there, from gist, to beef, to football, politics, divorce, fight, relationship wahala, science, arts, music etc. Even your weird thought can trend. You can also use it to promote your brand and businesses. And interact and make new friends as well.
Thank you for reading.
I love WhatsApp the most because am able to communicate faster with my friends over then. I use Facebook although mostly to advertise my business because I have lots of users who get to view them over there, then finally Instagram,am just new there and I think am loving it over there because my friend wouldn't let my ears rest with all her stories from IG
Frankly speaking, apart from YouTube I don't visit any other social media platforms. The reason is quite simple - Social Media giants earn from what I do on their platforms and I don't see a penny of the portion of income that is being generated from the time that I am spending on their website.
People have been on the social media for the past decade without getting paid but I don't necessarily disagree with them. The fact is that most of are using these 'social media' services without being aware of the fact that how money is being made from the time that we are spending on these platforms. Whatever share of content is monetized on regular social media, the pay out is far less than the effort and time that users put in them
For this reason, Steemit was the first platform that I ever became active on. I even posted a few videos on YouTube (that was after their content became monetizable through BAT), but that was after I joined the Steem community.
So basically apart from the Steem Ecosystem I have no favorites but I do spend time on YouTube.
Aside from Steemit, I am in similar decentralized social media platforms. You can find me in Whaleshares which is almost the same with Steemit. Aside from that, I am also in Weku. I also posts in ONO, PiePie, Whatsaround, HyperSpace, Bitlanders, and other. For mainstream social media websites, I am in Facebook but I rarely use it. I am also in Twitter.
Aside from Steemit, I spend a great time on Facebook and YouTube following by Twitter and Instagram. In LinkedIn, but not that active compare to others. How bout you?
Instagram, Facebook, Skype, Telegram, Zoom, WhatsApp, Wechat,..
I think that's all
