"Do, or Do not. There is no Try"
Strangely enough, A simple quote from a movie is one of the most powerful quotes. So many times in my life, I automatically respond with "I'll try" when asked to do something. This is of course a cop out answer. This is quite often just saying no to someone without having the guts to actually say no.
"Try" is generally a set up for failure. How many times do you answer a request with "i'll try". How many times do you actually try and end up doing the task? These words are surprisingly powerful. Replace I'll try with "I will..." or "sorry I won't..." in response to a request and see how that changes you mindset.
Change your thoughts and you change your world.
- Norman Vincent Peale
I've always been a fan of guarding our thought pattern. Our thoughts, whether negative or positive have a proportional effect on our life. When you fill your heart with negative thoughts, you are bound to attract negative things to yourself. A lot of people who experience difficulty or set back often call it to themselves due to the negative thoughts they may have nurtured all along. Check their thought pattern and you'll realize that they may have thought of such predicament befalling them even before it does. Our thoughts are what makes us who we are. You are capable of changing your world when you change your thought pattern. WHat are you thinking? Is it good or bad? Guard your heart with all diligence for out of it are the issues of life. Your thoughts becomes words, your words becomes your action and that determines your habit. You wanna change the world, let's begin with your thoughts.
"Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it".
I discovered this life lesson when I was high on ataraxia (not a drug lol) , but mostly only the rather selfish search for happiness part of it. That without even caring to fully get to heart with ataraxia.
I blame Charles R. Swinden's inspirational sentence for gradually making me a better person by showing me that my own happiness is totally in my own hands.
How did that make me a better man?
Understanding the 10/90 of life eventually led me away from ataraxia to stoicism. While it is true that ataraxia also starts from a form of stoicism, or has stoic foundations, it absolutely isn't as introspective. I think I was always a person who did good, but before fully understanding that most is a matter of perspective and thus how to deal with things, I wasn't as self-introspective. Ever since discovering that part, and also making it a regular practice in life, doing good has taken on a much bigger role.
Nowadays, I can say that not only am I better person to others but I'm also a happier person. Because I know how to filter and prioritize. I know not to let emotions or external factors let oppress me.
Because it's always all about how I deal with things.
And it all started with that one line.
A line which could have come from the great stoic philosophers themselves.
"Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it."
"A person who never made a mistake has never tried something new" - Albert Einstein
It's an amazing inspirational quote for me that sometimes we commit mistakes because it is out of our comfort zone. It is a way to mastering the craft of your passion. That quote resembles mistakes are okay as long as you'll be careful next time. It gives me a message that its okay to commit mistakes, because you are not used to it and that is learning. You learn from the new things you explore because you've tried something new in your life.
We commit mistakes because we are not born perfect and mistakes are made because we are not doing it the right way. However, we have the ability to correct it once we committed it. That the thing that we do oftentimes didn't produce much results and then we look for alternative ways to correct it.
In life, there are a lot of circumstances of first times and committing mistakes on those times are okay. Its just means we're exploring new things and be able to learn from it so that next time, we know what to do about it.
**"It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit."**
**~ Harry S Truman**
In my opinion this is one of the most underrated quotes of the modern era. A philosophy that has been replaced by quite the opposite
It's absolutely true that the "rat race" has created several barriers to our collective happiness. Imagine if we worked more collaboratively towards solving many of societal problems and problems at our jobs without worrying about scoring political points, winning the favor of our boss, or ownerhip of intellectual property.
I'm quite sold on the idea that not bothering with who gets credit for success would leave us all pleanty of time and bandwidth for getting more done.
_"You can waste your lives drawing lines. Or you can live your life crossing them"_
A Very beautiful, simple and motivational quote by __Shonda Rhimes__
Almost every human in his life Sticks at some point, Where they keep thinking that i can' t do this, i can't do that,
These are the lines or dot's he start creating around him, that stops him to do that,
But He/she Shouldn't do that, instead of creating these full stops or lines, why don't we try? Why don't we give it a try ?
What will happens?
We may fail? yes, we can fail, Failure is the biggest fear in this world.
But what if we try ? and get succeed? Imagine the joy of going and doing beyond the limitations.
Failures are there to provide the path to your success, you keep trying trying and trying and the success will be yours.
# Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.
>It's great to be positive, but there are other reasons to smile more than you'd think.
This is my favourite, reason is that its teach or motivate to live with smile. We need smile to make other person happy. Also smile is most important for your health.
Let me explain. Whenever you look a person who is sad. And far away for making smile. You can behaive positive with that person and give smile and love. I am sure he will also respond smily response.
So alway try to live with smile, Smiling, laughing, and positive thinking have been shown to have a huge number of health benefits to both mind and body.
I hope you will be cleared.
"The art of simplicity is a puzzle of complexity."
- Douglas Hourton
A quote that I always bear with in my everyday life; personal & professional. I think that we will have less problems if we keep everything simple. Some would argue that the way to simplicity is much more difficult to execute, which is actually true. However, the result that you will achieve from it is much more rewarding at the end of it.
Have a great day ahead😉
”At the end we regret the chances we dont take” is the inspirational quote in my life forced and motivated me to ever take a chance atleast or atmost.
We should keep and keep trying again for success and betterment in life.
We are actually bounded by a wall of not to try anything and this wall must be broken by us by taking a chance.
"IF you can't change the direction of the wind, try changing the screen ..."
Such is the quote from the conversation between Mozz and Neal Cafrey in the White Collar series that I witnessed some time ago.
Simple conversation, but it implies many things.
In life, we really cannot change the direction of the wind. On a small scale, we can indeed "engineer" the direction of the wind, for example by activating a fan, flicking the newspaper near the face, or opening the windshield. But on a large scale, we cannot change the direction of the wind. Because the wind comes and goes where he likes.
In the world, only one person can change the direction of the wind. He is named Storm. But Storm, who is part of the X-Men group, is a fictional character. In the real world no one can change the direction of the wind. Even the most intelligent technology has not been able to change the wind direction permanently.
If the wind direction cannot be changed, try changing the screen ... On a boat that uses a screen, the screen location will determine the speed and direction.
If the wind direction cannot be changed, try adjusting the screen. And take advantage of the wind direction ...
In life, we are often faced with wind direction that cannot be changed. For example, we might be 'stuck' in work that is not liked, but is forced to act because there is no other alternative.
Many are forced to spend most of their time on work, leaving very little for the family. Many leave home when the children are still asleep and arrive back home when the children are asleep.
Maybe many of you are 'stuck' in unpleasant work situations. Or a boring work environment.
If you can't change the direction of the wind (meaning you can't leave the current job), try changing the screen's location. That is, if you have free time (such as Saturday or Sunday), try to spend that valuable time with your family. Don't be like certain parties who spend time on something that is useless ...
If the work environment is unpleasant or tends to be boring, try making peace with yourself. Look for the fun part, or create it if it doesn't exist. If possible, equip yourself with a number of tools or gadgets that can create a fun and enjoyable atmosphere, as long as it does not interfere with or damage working relationships with other parties.
You might also be able to look for other opportunities. Try nyambi. Suppose that in the office you have unlimited internet access, try to find additional opportunities by utilizing an internet connection.
In addition, of course, keep watching if the wind direction has really changed, meaning you can get a chance to work elsewhere. But if you want to move, make sure you have got a new workplace before leaving the old one.
Another example, maybe in your family is forced to deal with in-laws who do not have feelings. Or brother-in-law is annoying.
If you can't change the direction of the wind (you can't divorce your husband or wife), try changing the screen. That is, try to understand the psychology of in-laws or in-laws. If you are currently forced to settle in 'Graha-in-law', try to see the possibility of contracting or living in a separate place.
Another example, maybe you are among those who are frustrated with domestic conditions and conditions. Anxious with people's representatives who have no conscience, are annoyed with sluggish country leaders, frustrated with the still many acts of corruption and other things that make high blood pressure.
If you cannot change the direction of the wind (you cannot make a revolution or coup, and become a citizen of another country), then try changing the screen. By doing repairs starting from the smallest unit. Namely yourself and family. Trying to instill a conscience, try to behave cleanly, and try hard to live honestly. At the same time, try making corrections. Of course adapted to the situation and conditions.
Of course, it's not an easy thing to change the screen. Especially if a sudden breeze turns into a storm.
But by making adjustments, we can adapt. The direction of the wind cannot be changed. But it can be used.
> "If you are not willing to learn, no one can help you! If you are determined to learn, no one can stop you!"
This particular quote have made me move a long way in reaching my goals. Even though we all need help in one aspect or the other in life, we should note that when we aren't willing to be helped, not matter the help rendered it won't be useful. Also we if don't want to learn something or know some skills, no help rendered will actually make you know it until you are determined to know it. And once determined, nothing can kill the zeal in you or stop you from achieving the goal. Unless you relent.
I hope this will be useful
i think my most favorite inspirational quote is if 'NEVER GIVE UP'. i think we can learn a lot from this quote like never giving up when things are tough, we should always believe that even if we fail at getting things done, we should continue doing it till we become successful at it and getting it right.
