... or will it be capable of attracting the next generation of web3 gamers likewise?
As someone who loved playing Ultima online, RuneScape and the early WoW in 2004-2006 I am absolutely hyped for Domi Online since the concept just fits perfectly into what I'm looking for. Maybe it's because a former RuneScape Dev is lead Dev here, maybe it's because the whole team has a background of loving the late 90s MMORPGs.
However I'm afraid that nowadays next gamer generation is way to "soft" and only can be attracted by easy mode games with instant and constant dopamine kicks...
As young gamers are used to get the next good item which instantly boost their abilities or damage by a quadrillion the approach of Domi to make it difficult to get really good items (and even them only adding 1 figures of power) may be completely new to them. Likewise the neverending levelling progression and experience loss on death.
On the other hand these things might attract them too, since they would have (at least for them) a completely new game design with challenges never met before.
What are your thoughts?
