The Iran Endgame

It’s high time for America to finish the Iran job. The timing is ideal, as Iranian citizens are rising up.

A lot is at stake. America can finally neutralize Iran’s nuclear threat, weaken its regional proxies, and protect allies and critical shipping lanes.

The Iranian regime is likely to fall even faster once America deploys the following tools:

  • Sanctions on oil buyers and facilitators
  • Financial and shipping suppression
  • Diplomatic pressure on third parties
  • Deterrence through regional allies, particularly Israel

America’s objective is not invasion or installing a handpicked president in Tehran. Regimes rarely fall that way. What actually breaks them is internal realignment, when power-hungry insiders decide the system no longer serves them. Sustained economic, financial, and diplomatic pressure doesn’t cause instant collapse, it creates fractures among second-tier elites, security forces, and technocrats who move to protect their power and survival.

No transition fully excludes the existing regime. It removes the top while preserving enough of the structure to maintain continuity. Enforcement becomes selective, legitimacy erodes, and rival power blocs turn inward. Leadership doesn’t need to be imposed from outside, it emerges from within. Regimes fall not when outsiders take over, but when insiders stop defending the system. This new leadership is going to be fearful and obedient to America.

How do you think the current Iranian regime will counter?

threaten or attack U.S. allies in the region like Saudi Arabia, Gulf states, Israel, etc indirectly through proxies like Hezbollah, Houthi forces, or Shiite militias

Iran can activate anti-ship attacks in the red sea using drones and missiles to target commercial shiping and naval vessels transiting the red sea and bab el-mandeb strait

Iran can run op-ed, propaganda, fake stories about US and its allies. The regime can expose the allies' 'alleged/fabricated' faults or bad behaviors and make them hate each other - this could be very effective on NATO countries opposing the Greenland deal. The regime can also trigger the Democrats or use them to cause chaos in Trump's administration. Iran can fabricate stories or leaks and share them exclusively with Dems.

Iran can get the assistance of N. Korea, China, and Russia to hack Israel and get all the identities and locations of all Mossad Agents, especially those in Iran causing sabotage.

Intensify repression of protests and dissent to prevent the internal fractures and purge perceived disloyal elites, military officers, and technocrats. Increase surveillance and censorship to control information and communication channels. If the regime can quickly suppress protests, control elites, and maintain loyalty in the Revolutionary Guard, it can buy time. History shows authoritarian regimes with tight security apparatuses (like Iran’s) can survive significant external pressure for years.
