Decentralization is a cumulative factor in the success of any blockchain. However, considering just the aspect of node operation, Solana experienced failures seven times during 2022 and 2023. It's important to remember that a truly decentralized blockchain should operate continuously without needing resets, if blockchain reset then the high centralisation is present. Multiple resets as Solana experienced, is a significant red flag. Also, I just today used Solana to swap crypto and the network is very clunky and slow. Avalanche is so much better and feels instant.
