Interesting statistics. From which source is it? And what is "entire crypto market" (only coinmarketcap listed coins?)?
Excellent question. This, ser, is data from my Top Ten Crypto Index Fund Experiment which I started in January 1st, 2018. I bought $100 of the Top Ten for a total of $1k, trying to replicate the entire market. I'm also tracking other stats (market cap, BitDom, etc) and comparing it all to the S&P500. And this year I added a comparison to AMKT, a total crypto market cap token.
Both AMKT and the entire crypto market cap are crushing my Top Ten :)
The total market number source is coin market cap.
Whow thanks for that in-depth answer. Awesome idea and way of analysis 👍
You will be always be wrong in calculation if you do not accept the Crypto calculation. Learn this if you want to be successful. You need to use Bitcoin 4 cycle. So example: if you buy eth at 150$ in dec 2018 how much you have made in dec 2022. If you bought later you always keep dec 2022. For this cycle you use everything bought after dec 2022. to Nov-Dec 2026 around end of 2026 will be cut off again again. The yearly calculation isn't compatible with the crypto market. this is for those that want to see the returns over the long term.
